What is Legacy?

Many years ago on a mission trip to Eastern Europe, I had a stop-over night in Vienna, Austria. I took the opportunity to tour some of the oldest cathedrals in the world. In Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, the guide told us it took over 100 years to build the beautiful church. It dawned on me that all of the people who gave, worked, and prayed for that cathedral would never step foot inside. They gave all, for future generations, to know and experience Jesus. That is Legacy.

Our Campaign

Legacy is a campaign we have launched to build for tomorrow, for future generations. We have found our building and now is the time to obtain it. Will you go above and beyond your normal giving and offerings to invest in the acceleration of God’s Kingdom as we begin a new season for Jubilee? We
will grow and mature our church, increase our engagement in all age groups, and provide state of the art ministry opportunities. We will launch a teaching and training center to encourage pastors, teachers, prophets, evangelists, and apostolic ministry. Eph 4:11

Our Mission

Empowering all generations to experience life in Jesus.

Our Goal

To move into a building that facilitates our church moving forward, and launch a teaching and training center to fulfill the vision God has given to us.

Our Hope

For every person at Jubilee to participate in our Legacy Campaign. Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice, to reach our community and city with God’s heart.

Dear Jubilee Family,

Welcome to this historic moment at Jubilee. This is our most important season since we planted our church in 1998. We believe God is doing the miraculous for our fellowship.

Long before there was a church called Jubilee, there was a dream. Early in our ministry, God gave Chris and myself a literal dream, at the same time, of a teaching and training center. This dream has been the original and guiding promise over our lives for more than 30 years!

Today, we begin the second part of our mission. God is showing us now is the time to pursue and fulfill the dream of a church and training center. We believe we have found our building to take Jubilee to the next level and give life to the teaching and training center. A place for pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, and the apostolic to help equip God’s people to discover and recover God’s promises. A place to help those in need and give opportunity to those who want to learn. A place that honors the gifts God has given to His people. A chance to help our community and bring some of heaven to earth.

I am asking you to pray and seek God about how He would prompt you to take part. Join with us by saying yes to this opportunity. Together we can help more people become a part of God’s kingdom. Together we can build a legacy for future generations. For such a time as this.

- Pastor John and Chris Leach

Vision Goals

To go after those who are still missing

Some statistical reports show that 865,700 people live within a 15-mile radius of our church. A permanent facility will allow us to reach up to four times more people who are far from God than we do now.

To create opportunities to bless our community

This building will allow us to offer opportunities to other nonprofits like YWAM, MOPS, and other parachurch ministries.

To honor Jesus’ mandate to bear much fruit

Individually and as a church, it’s our heart to care most about what Jesus cares most about, and that’s people. Bearing much fruit is obedience to go after God’s most prized possession. This new location is a stake in the ground for generational impact. The money given will truly be a spiritual legacy where thousands will come to know Jesus.

To offer state of the art ministry facilities

Some statistical reports show that 865,700 people live within a 15-mile radius of our church. A permanent facility will allow us to reach up to four times more people who are far from God than we do now.

To build a home for our training center

It has been our “dream” to launch an Ephesians 4:11-12 ministry center. “So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people.”

What do we need?

100,000+ Square Feet

(sanctuary, children’s, youth, adults, education, offices, cafe, bookstore, inside and outside meeting space)

A home to grow and mature as a church

A place to launch the teaching and training center

When will we get the building?

Very soon because of the Legacy Campaign. We are believing that God wants to make this possible! Our job is to trust God fully and have faith in what He wants to do. We are on a short timeline, but I believe together we can be a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14

How can we get there?

In the story of the Widow’s offering (Mk 12:41-44), Jesus is watching people put their offerings in the collection at church. The wealthy gave large amounts. Eventually, a poor widow put in two copper coins. Literally two pennies. Jesus called the disciples to attention and told them that the widow put in more than all of the others. Jesus commented that the wealthy gave out of their abundance, meaning it wasn’t from a sacrifice. The widow gave out of her poverty, literally it was costly for her to give. I believe the heart of this story teaches that our giving matters to God. Obviously the amount isn’t the only measurement; the heart behind it matters more than anything. The widow’s offering was more significant because it was a sacrifice. When we give sacrificially it is special to God.

This campaign began with a sacrificial gift of my motorcycle. I wanted to lead by demonstrating sacrifice. My motorcycle was important to me. I sold it for $25,000. I gave the money to our missionaries. The Lord told me, “Take care of what’s in my heart, and I’ll take care of what’s in your heart.” Chris and I will be participating in this campaign just like you. We will give an offering and pledge above and beyond our tithe. I want you to know we are living what we are asking you to do. Looking forward to this next season in Jesus.
