Hands of Mercy Ministries

Hands of Mercy Ministries (HOMM) was established in 2008 by Saby and Rebecca Thomas with the vision of bringing God’s love to the unreached and hope to the underserved of India. With over 1.3 billion people, India has more unreached individuals than any other nation. (Hindus 79.8%, Muslims 14.23% and Christians 2.3% per census of India 2011.) After seeing the great need in India, HOMM started the following ministries: Orphanages, Caring for Widows, Caring for Disabled, Medical Care, Education Centers, Bible Training Centers, Church Planting and Short Term Missions.

Saby grew up in a Christian family in India. He came to know the Lord at a young age and had the desire to do ministry.  Saby worked among the unreached in different parts of northern India with Operation Mobilization.  Rebecca grew up in Michigan. From childhood she knew she wanted to work among the poor. In college Rebecca started making trips to India. During the next 15 years she logged 17 trips to India. Saby and Rebecca met while working together in India. Three years later, Saby came to the U.S. and they married. Saby pastored an Indian church for 4 years in Lakewood, CO.

Together Saby and Rebecca work with HOMM, while Saby also serves at Open Door Fellowship as an associate pastor, and Rebecca works as a Nurse Practitioner. They reside in Lakewood, CO with their three children..
