Rich & Michelle Franzen

Impact Africa was launched in 2003 by Rich and Michelle Franzen with a vision infused by more than 30 years of combined missions experience. It was while ministering on short-term mission trips with Teen Mania that their hearts were endeared to the African people and a yearning emerged to make an impact on this continent. With 28 million people throughout Africa suffering from AIDS and 44% of its population under the age of 14, Rich and Michelle found themselves devoted to making a difference in the lives of as many people as possible.

Today they reside with their three children in South Africa and spend their days finding ways to bring Hope to the hopeless. They have successfully launched three Impact Kids Preschools and Community Care Centers where they are educating hundreds of children and adults. Their plans are to launch these sites in informal settlements throughout Southern Africa. They also have a thriving year-long missionary internship program and host hundreds of short-term missionaries and international missionaries every year.
